I have asked all interested to send a quick email with samples of your work so I know what area you are in. Also if you could give an idea of pricing that you see suitable for your work.

I will always be very careful of pricing. The Gallery is hosted in Dunlaoire Shopping Centre, and that is setting the price range. I completely understand that there are certain margins that artists will not go below, but more important is the fact that I want art to sell so there is nothing left sitting around. THE PRODUCT MUST MATCH THE PRICE PUT ON IT, PEOPLE WANT GOOD STANDARD OF WORK.  The Gallery is for Artists to sell their work through so they can get paid to make more Art. I believe that your work should pay its way, and your time is precious, but I will not let over priced art into the gallery that I know will sit and go stale taking up room that someone else can benefit from.

The system is very clear…if your work is different from the other artists displaying and your pricing is realistic then you jump to the next available spot.
Every artist will be recorded for future reference.

The charges are on the panel of space that you rent. Each panel is 4ft wide and 7ft high. They cost 10Euro a day and there is now a 10% commission on all work sold. All costs must be paid in advance.

When you sell a piece we phone you immediately so you can replace it with more of your work, this way you get full value out of your panel.

There is a once-off set up fee of 25 Euro for all admin and wrapping costs.
The Gallery is staffed. It is a part of the agreement when you sign up to display your work that you are available to meet the public for at least 2 hours a week.

This has proved very popular with people as they have sold work from their studios and received commissions in this time. Also it is not our policy to do any deals with the public, so this is your chance to give a good price on your work.

The decor is woeful and it needs some work but it feels fantastic and will be home to many classes and meetings from here on in.

Also the venue was an issue….so that was the next thing that had to be taken care of.

So now, I am proud to say that Feedback Meetings have found a home and will be open to all interested on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. (in January we will have it on the second Tuesday – 8th Jan)

Over tea and a biscuit you meet others that are doing the same thing as you and it is a good way to find a quick solution to something you have been sourcing or thinking about for some time.

It is also prime time to find out about setting up a blog, getting your work into a gallery, or finding somewhere to teach, or go to a new craft course!!

3rd Floor Dunlaoire Shopping Centre now hosts the Expose Yourself Gallery.

23 Artists and Photographers are exposing their work and with 173 pieces on display there is a huge amount of talent to be seen.

There is a constant flow of people and steady sales, so it has become an instant hit. The feedback from the public is all good.

We will be there until the 23rd of December, so if you are interested in displaying in January, come and see what it is all about from 10am to 9 pm all this week. If you need a beautiful gift of original art or a fabulous photograph then this is the place to look

From the application form the need for the gallery became very clear very quickly…

The Gallery has many artists signed up for it so far and a meeting with artists is on Wednesday morning.

The Gallery is on the 3rd Floor of Dunlaoire Shopping Centre, so do come along for look and say hello. The artists themselves will be making many guest appearances as I felt it was extremely important that they are available to the public and potential customers.

The Gallery will run from Thursday 13th December to 23rd December all day.

There are two competitions running for the duration.

The colouring competition has many different categories and great prizes for each.

The other competition is for everyone..

The forms for each competition will be available to everyone all over Dunlaoire and at the Gallery itself.

Bring your children along to colour in their entry and have it displayed in their own gallery!
